Software Only Projects 

Thank you for working with DECK on your projects. By purchasing the hardware through an alternate
source than DECK monitoring DECK is not responsible for support and/or technical assistance in
installing and configuring your hardware. For support please contact the vendor of this hardware. DECK
will be responsible for assistance only once the hardware is sending data to DECK. Currently DECK can
receive data directly from the following devices:
Obvius AcquiSuite
SMA Web Box
PV Powered - PVM1010
DECK API: Any device that is configured to send data via DECK API

 

Device Specific Process

Obvius AcquiSuite
Customer is responsible for configuring all devices to report reliably and accurately through the device
list. Once this is configured perform the following steps in the AcquiSuite:
1. Modbus/setup: set the data logging period to 15 minutes.
2. Log File Data: Set the scheduled upload time to “Connect every log cycle” and the upload URL of
Upload Channel #1 to http://data.deckmonitoring.com/upload.php. Leave all other Upload settings
unchanged.

3. System / Date & Time: Set Timezone to UTC.
4. Log File Data: note the Serial Number (listed at the top).
5. Send an e-mail to support@deckmonitoring.com with the following information.
a. The Serial Number.
b. Your Job ID that was located on your sales quote.
c. Your Name and your Company Name.

SMA Web Box
1. Perform the steps identified in the DECK SMA Instructions http://support.deckmonitoring.com/attachments/token/lisyqfjxex9qhom/?name=APNDX-Inv-SMA-WebBox_13_09_01.pdf
2. Send an e-mail to support@deckmonitoring.com with the following information.
a. The Serial Number of your SMA Web Box.
b. Your Job ID that was located on your sales quote.
c. Your Name and your Company Name.

PVM1010 (Note: PVM1010 can only be used in conjunction with Kyocera/Canadian Solar residential systems which were bundled with 1 year of free monitoring)

1. Connect your PVM1010 in accordance with documentation provided by PV Powered. In this case
your system will be sending data to PV Powered and DECK will be pulling the data from PV Powered.
Once you have confirmed you can access your data via PV Powered portal perform the following:
2. Send an e-mail to support@deckmonitoring.com with the following information.
a. The Serial Number of your PV Powered Inverter.
b. Your Job ID that was located on your sales quote.
c. Your Name and your Company Name. DECK API: DECK can accept data from any device that conforms to our DECKAPI.pdf document. After
setting up communication for the API perform the following:
1. Send an e-mail to support@deckmonitoring.com with the following information.
a. An overview of what devices you are sending data from and how you would like them labeled.

API: If you are planning to use the DECK API contact your DECK sales representative to request information.
